January Show
Abigail’s Party : Audition September 23rd 7.30pm
The classic comedy drama ‘Abigail’s Party’ by Mike Leigh satirises the aspirations and tastes of an emerging middle class in 1970s Britain.

Beverley Moss [30-50s] Strong Essex accent
Laurence Moss[ 40-50s] Soft regional accent

Angela Cooper [30-40s] Strong Essex accent
Susan, Abigail's mum [40-60s] Well spoken - Received Pronunciation

The play centres on two characters, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III. Their story unfolds through the reading of letters they have accumulated over 50 years of friendship and love. This seemingly simple premise provokes a deep emotional response from its audience as we learn of their hopes and dreams, triumphs and defeats.
Audition will now be on Monday 15th July 7.30pm at Cobham Village Hall upstairs in the Committee Room.
Performances will be Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd November at 7.30pm
We are looking for two players possible to be double cast:
Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner both in their 40s to 60s, with an American accent
